LYCEUM stunned CSB-La Salle Greenhills, 74-68, on Friday in the NCAA Season 95 juniors basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The Junior Pirates unloaded a 23-point third quarter to tie the game at 53-all before Jae Omandac put the game away by scoring eight of his 16 points in the final quarter.
Omandac also grabbed 15 rebounds as Lyceum moved up to joint second place at 5-2 in a tie with Arellano.
John Barba led the way with 22 points, eight rebounds, and four assists, while Mac Guadana was once again at the head of the Junior Pirates' attack with an all-around performance marked by 12 points, seven boards, and two assists.
Lyceum took advantage of LSGH's 25 turnovers, turning these to 16 easy points.
Lennox Valenzuela carried the Greenies with 16 points, as Jan Manansala had a double-double with his 13 points and 15 rebounds.
RC Calimag scored 10 points but went scoreless in the payoff period.
