    LSGH rips EAC-ICA to book Final Four ticket as Mapua gains playoff

    CSB-La Salle Greenhills secured the first Final Four spot in the NCAA Season 94 juniors basketball wars with a 77-61 trouncing of EAC-Immaculate Concepcion Academy on Friday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

    Inand Fornilos powered the Greenies with 14 points and four rebounds as they remained on top of the food chain at 12-2 and preserved their one game lead over Mapua.

    Joshua David added 12 points and eight boards, RC Calimag tallied a double-double of 11 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists, while Joel Cagulangan flirted with a triple-double to the tune of 10 points, 10 boards, seven dimes, and two steals.

    Francis Lopez took advantage of the extended garbage time to nab 13 for CSB-LSGH.

    The Greenies locked down on defense in the second quarter, limiting the Brigadiers to just six points in the frame to take a commanding 36-22 halftime advantage to cruise to the easy win.

    Adrian Balowa paced EAC-ICA with 26 points and five rebounds, while JR Ilustrisimo got 15 points, nine boards, and five assists in the losing effort.

    The Red Robins, meanwhile, secured at least a playoff for a Final Four berth with a 96-73 rout of Perpetual.

    Clint Escamis anchored the balanced attack for Mapua, logging 16 points, three rebounds, and three assists, as Karl Mariano also got 16 points and two boards to his name.

    Roseler Sarias and Dan Arches both dropped 14, while Jonnel Policarpio had 10 points and seven rebounds.

    Emman Galman powered the Junior Altas with 17 points and four rebounds, while Yukihiro Kawamura shot bricks from distance, going 4-of-15 from deep to log 16 points and two boards.

    JRU also stayed at solo fourth place with a 74-71 squeaker over Letran in the nightcap.

    John Amores dropped 20 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals, as John Delos Santos got 14 points, seven dimes, five boards, and two steals as the Light Bombers rose to 9-6.

    Neil Guarino registered 19 points and five rebounds to lead the Squires as they fell to 3-11.
