LSGH’s graduating guard Joel Cagulangan had made the top of the NCAA high school cagers’ weekly list for the fifth time, tying Mapua main man Clint Escamis.

Cagulangan rescued the Greenies in the game against JRU, scored 17 in a killer 24-0 run.

Just in that killer run, the La Salle-commit fired four triples and two inside baskets. He finished with six assists, six rebounds and four steals.

All of those were more than enough to catapult Cagulangan to the top spot of the Chooks-to-Go NBTC NCAA 24.

Teammate Joshua David stands behind him in second spot after contributing 15 points, four rebounds and three assists.

There are followed by a pair of Mapua Red Robins in long-limbed forward Jonnel Policarpio and do-it-all guard Dan Arches.

Arellano High’s man in the middle Aaron Fermin rounds out the top five.

Last week’s No. 1 player Inand Fornilos of LSGH dropped to sixth, and is followed by JRU’s John Amoren, Mapua’s Clint Escamis, and the LPU duo of John Barba and Mac Guadana.
