WITH only two games slated this week to finish the first round, the Chooks-to-Go/NBTC NCAA 24 weekly rankings largely stayed put.

And after the first nine games for each team, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the top seven players come from league-leaders Mapua and St. Benilde.

Red Robins top gun Clint Escamis stayed on top of the list, his fourth time to be at the helm, before four Greenies followed suit in Joshua David, RC Calimag, Joel Cagulangan, and Inand Fornilos.

Jonnel Policarpio and Dan Arches aren’t far behind as they rounded out the top seven.

Rather, the biggest mover this week is Perpetual’s Emman Galman, who barged into the top 10 at the eighth spot with his stellar showing for the Junior Altas, finishing with 25 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and a block to add to Arellano’s woes.

Jade Talampas also made the move to take the 12th spot, thanks to San Beda’s current tear of winning six of its last seven games.

The same, however, couldn’t be said for last week’s second placer Kent Pelipel as the Red Cub's silent week saw him slide down to 24.

After all three editions have been completed, a final list composing the top 24 players nationwide will then be chosen to participate in the annual NBTC All-Star Game in March.
