    Aug 20, 2019

EMMAN Galman drained the game-winning floater with 21.7 seconds left as Perpetual edged EAC-Immaculate Concepcion Academy, 71-70, to stop its woes in the NCAA Season 95 juniors basketball tournament on Tuesday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The versatile forward's heroics allowed the Junior Altas to snap their two-game losing run and end the first round with a 4-5 card.

Galman finished with 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists and a steal, to back the breakout game of John Escalante, who poured 21 points and five rebounds in the win.

The Brigadiers still had a chance to steal the game, but Adrian Balowa's drive and the succeeding putback from Jeremy Mejia could not find the bottom of the net as time expired.

Balowa topped EAC-ICA (1-7) with 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while JR Ilustrisimo had 17 points and eight boards.

Earlier, Lenard Santiago steered Letran to a 72-64 victory over San Sebastian.
