CJAY Boado took charge for EAC-Immaculate Concepcion Academy in extra time to get the better of Letran High School, 84-76, Tuesday in the NCAA Season 94 juniors; basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Brigadiers main man uncorked seven of his 18 points in overtime, as well as grabbing nine rebounds and dishing out three assists as his side emerged victorious in the battle of cellar-dwelling teams.

Adrian Balowa paced EAC-ICA with 21 points, eight assists, four rebounds, and four steals, while JR Ilustrisimo logged 17 points, eight boards, five dimes, and two steals against seven turnovers.

It was a see-saw battle from the get-go, one which saw the Brigadiers fight back from a sluggish six-point first quarter before taking a 30-25 halftime lead, before the Squires came back behind CJ Saure to force overtime with the score tied at 67 at the end of regulation.

EAC-ICA, though, had the last laugh thanks to the trio of Boado, Balowa, and Ilustrisimo in the clutch.

The Brigadiers snapped their two-game losing slide to nab their third win of the season and improve to 3-10.

Letran leaned on Saure, who forced overtime after dropping 10 of his 20 points in the payoff period, while also making it a double-double with his 13 rebounds. However, he wasn't able to sustain that blaze and went scoreless in overtime.

Julian Culanay also added 15 points and six boards, while Shawn Argente had 10 for the Squires, which dropped at the bottom of the standings at 3-10.
