LETRAN beat San Sebastian, 62-59, on Friday night to claim its first win in the NCAA Season 94 juniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
Shawn Argente had 11 points, while CJ Saure had 10 points including a jumper with 40 seconds left in the fourth for the Squires, who evened their record to 1-1.
That basket by Saure broke a 59-59 deadlock for the Squires, who outscored the Staglets, 18-7, in the fourth.
Shawn Umali grabbed 12 boards for the Squires, who entered the fourth down, 52-44.
Milo Janao had 16 points and seven rebounds, while John Pinero and Ian Suico had 13 points each for the Staglets, who dropped to 1-2.
