    Aaron Fermin ends HS career with a bang as Braves down Staglets

    AARON Fermin also closed out his high school career in style, towing Arellano to a 75-73 victory over San Sebastian on Tuesday in the NCAA Season 94 juniors' basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

    The hardworking big man finished with 15 points and 21 rebounds to carry the Braves to a seventh place finish with their 7-11 record.

    Rom Junsay chipped in 11 points, three boards and two assists, Resty Fornis got nine points and 14 rebounds, John Recto added 13 points and four boards, and Lars Sunga added 12 and nine in the win.

    Milo Janao powered the Staglets with 14 points and eight rebounds as they wound up at eighth place with their 5-13 card.

    Perpetual also capped off its season with a 71-67 stunner over San Beda.

    Emman Galman powered the Junior Altas with 26 points and two rebounds, while Tony Ogunsanya got 12 and five.

    The win capped off a promising season for Perpetual, which finished 9-9 while also vanquishing its longtime tormentor.

    Penny Estacio carried the Red Cubs with 14 points, as Winston Ynot got 10 points and seven rebounds.

    Despite the loss, San Beda will still advance to the Final Four as the third-seed, facing the two-seed Mapua armed with a twice-to-beat advantage.
