THE Washington Wizards are set to travel to Florida with Bradley Beal, who remains undecided on the NBA restart.
Beal had expressed concerns about the preparations for the season resumption, even before the NBA released its schedule.
The NBA on Saturday released its schedule for scrimmages from July 22 to 28, with the first match of the season resumption set on July 30.
Davis Bertans, the Washington gunner headed for free agency, has already pulled out of the NBA restart, and losing the 27-year-old Beal will be a big problem for the Wizards.
Washington, which is set to leave for Orlando on Tuesday (Wednesday, Manila time) is just a spot below the eighth-running Magic in the Eastern Conference, but the margin is 5.5 games.
Still, the Wizards remain confident as Beal joins the trip.
“No final decision … We are all still day by day," coach Scott Brooks told ESPN.
“He's looking great. His physical condition has been pretty good and continues to improve every day, along with our other guys. We are all getting tested every day and as of right now, he's a go, and we are all going down there ready to compete and get better and play to get in a playoff position. He looks great."
The Pelicans take on the Utah Jazz and the Lakers face off with the Clippers on the first day of the restart.
