NBA fans in this part of the basketball world woke up to the news that the Kevin Durant trade to the Houston Rockets that was first reported two weeks ago has finally become official as the league moratorium on deals was lifted.

While the KD deal isn't breaking news, its enormity is still surprising as no less than seven teams took part and a reported 20 assets went around in the trade that broke the previous record set by Klay Thompson's move from the Bay Area to Dallas the offseason before.

Here's what the seven teams got:

Houston Rockets

The Rockets, who after seasons of rebuilding made a good impression on the way to the playoffs last season, bared their intention to contend by bringing in Durant from the Phoenix Suns. KD is 37 but still among the NBA's premier scorers as he joins his fifth team. Thrown in was free-agent Clint Capela from the Atlanta Hawks who came in via sign and trade.

Phoenix Suns

As the Suns move on from the KD era, they got a hyper-athletic star in Fil-American Jalen Green to pair with Devin Booker. Also coming in from Houston was tough-nosed guard Dillon Brooks, who will bring toughness to the team. The Suns also acquired from Houston the No. 10 pick of the last NBA draft, 7-1 Duke center Khaman Maluach, as well as Daeqwon Plowden, rookie draftees Rasheer Fleming and Koby Brea, and a second-round pick.

Instead of watching the veteran Capela walk away in free agency, the Hawks sent him to the Rockets in a sign-and-trade for 24-year old journeyman David Roddy, a second-round pick swap, and cash.
