    Warriors ride scorching third quarter blitz to turn tight battle early into a blowout win over Jazz

    THE Golden State Warriors unleashed another sizzling third quarter blitz to turn a tight game into a blowout win over the Utah Jazz, 126-101, on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time).

    Leading only by a point at the half, 48-47, the Warriors started pulling away midway through the third with a 20-5 run and outscored the Jazz 42-22 in the period to lead by 21 after three quarters.

    The Warriors reserves stepped up in the fourth, pushing the lead to as high as 30 before coasting to their second straight win.

    Six players scored in double figures for Golden State (28-7), led by Kevin Durant’s 21 points, while Pat McCaw added a season-high 18 off the bench. Klay Thompson and Nick Young each scored 15 markers, while Draymond Green added 14.

    Omri Casspi finished with 10 before limping off late with an ankle injury.

    Rodney Hood led Utah (15-21), losers of three straight games, with 26 points off the bench. Donovan Mitchell and Derrick Favors each scored 17.
