OAKLAND, California — The Golden State Warriors have re-signed center Anderson Varejao.

Terms of the deal announced on Sunday (Monday, Manila time) were not released.

Varejao averaged 2.6 points and 2.3 rebounds in 22 games after signing with the Warriors on Feb. 22. He began the season with Cleveland and averaged 2.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in 31 games.

Having played for Cleveland for most part of the regular season, Varejao is eligible to receive a championship ring but the Brazilian big man reportedly turned it down.

Varejao was sent by the Cavaliers beforee the trade deadline to Portland, which promptly waived the big man.

He then agreed to join the Warriors for a veteran's minumum for the remainder of the season.

The 33-year-old center averaged 1.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in 17 playoff games for Golden State.

For his career, Varejao has averaged 7.4 points and 7.3 rebounds in 613 games.
