A Klay Thompson defensive stand secured a Golden State Warriors victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in a fight-marred 105-103 Christmas day win on Wednesday night (Thursday, Manila time).
Stephen Curry scored six of his 15 points in the final 3:01 as the Warriors snapped the Pacific Division rivals' five-game winning streak. Thompson scored with 23 points and David Lee finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds.
Blake Griffin was thrown out after he received a second technical foul when he tangled with Andrew Bogut with less than two minutes in the final period. Golden State’s Draymond Green was earlier ejected after he and Griffin scuffled at the end of the third quarter.
After the game ended, security personnel had to separate players from both teams near the tunnel to the Clippers' locker room.
Paul finished with 26 points and 11 assists. Griffin added 20 points, 14 rebounds and five assists before hitting the showers.
