PUT up just days after LeBron James agreed to join the Lakers, the ‘King of LA’ mural in Venice has been defaced.
The mural shows James in a Lakers uniform, but vandals wrote ‘We dont want you’ along with other insults over the art work.
‘Lefraud’ and ‘3-6,’ LeBron’s NBA Finals record, was also written, although the markings were later cleared.
Artist Jonas Never, who worked on the mural with Menso One, quickly got it cleaned up.
The vandalism happened just after a Lakers supporter, who says no murals should be put up for James until he delivers a title to LA, offered a US$300 reward for the artwork to be defaced.
