UTAH rained down 11 triples to sink winless Philadelphia, 109-84, at Wells Fargo Center on Monday (Tuesday, Manila time) as the Jazz rolled to its second straight win.
The Jazz never looked back after trailing midway through the first quarter, 13-16, as Gordon Hayward and Rudy Gobert sparked a 17-8 run to close the period ahead, 30-24.
Utah increased the lead some more in the fourth quarter as Rodney Hood and Dante Exum sank two three-pointers each while Joe Johnson also added one long bomb to stretch Philadelphia’s winless streak in the months of October and November to a league-record 43 games.
The Sixers are also on a 0-6 start for the third season in a row.
On his second game back from a broken finger during training camp, Hayward led the Jazz in scoring with 20 points. Rodney Hood and Dante Exum combined for seven of the team’s three-pointers to finish with 18 and 11 markers, respectively.
Derrick Favors had a double-double for Utah, now at 5-3, with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Jahlil Okafor led the Sixers with 15 off the bench, while Joel Embiid had 14 markers and nine boards in 19 foul-plagued minutes in the anticipated match-up with Rudy Gobert.
