    Reserves Tyler Johnson, Wayne Ellington propel Heat over injury-riddled 76ers

    TYLER Johnson had 24 points and five other Heat players scored in double figures in a 125-98 victory over the injury-riddled Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday in Miami (Thursday, Manila time).

    Wayne Ellington hit six of the Heat’s 13 triples, finishing with 18 points.

    The Heat bounced back from a loss to the Mavericks, recording their 28th win in 61 games.

    Hassan Whiteside had 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Goran Dragic and Dion Waiters also scored 15.

    The Sixers, who earlier announced Joel Embiid is out for the season with a knee injury, suffered their third straight loss and 38th in 60 outings.

    Robert Covington had 19 points on 5 of 12 shooting, while Richaun Holmes came off the bench to deliver 15 points.
