MARC Gasol had 28 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists while Troy Daniels made seven of 11 three-pointers for 29 points as the Memphis Grizzlies outlasted the New Orleans Pelicans in a gritty 110-108 double overtime match on Monday in New Orleans (Tuesday, Manila time).
Both Gasol and Daniels sank crucial shots in the endgame for Memphis (14-8) to extend the game beyond regulation. A triple from Gasol with 7.4 seconds left tied the game 94-all to send it to overtime.
The Pelicans had a 100-96 lead with 55 seconds left in the first overtime but the Grizzlies caught up when Tony Allen sank one of his two free throws and Daniels extended the game by burying a shot from downtown off a Gasol assist.
The Grizzlies are on a three-game winning streak.
Allen had 19 points, 14 rebounds and three steals. Andrew Harrison added 12 points while Troy Williams scored 11.
Anthony Davis had 28 points, 17 rebounds and four blocks. Langston Galloway shot 6-13 from beyond the arc for 26 points for New Orleans (7-15) which has lost three in a row.
