TRISTAN Thompson has reportedly slightly lowered his salary demand, but still has yet to reach a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Earlier reported to be eyeing a US$94 million contract for five years, Thompson was said to be ready to sign a $53 million deal on Friday according to Chris Broussard of ESPN.

However, Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal said no deal has been reached.
I've been told reports of extension for Tristan Thompson inaccurate. No deal struck, nor do #Cavs seem interested in reported 3/$53 million

The earlier demand for five years would have paid Thompson, a key player in the recent layoffs for the Cavs, around $18.8 million but the new deal would give him $17 per season for three seasons.
Broussard later said the Cavaliers have not agreed to the deal.
