Karl-Anthony Towns and new recruit Jimmy Butler led Minnesota with 16 points apiece. Andrew Wiggins and Taj Gibson added 14 and 13 markers, respectively. While three Timberwolves reserves in Tyus Jones, Shabazz Muhammad, and Nemanja Bjelica also ended up in double-figures.
Kevin Durant had a game-high 20 points, and Steph Curry chipped in 14 markers. Klay Thompson also scored 13 for the Warriors.
The two teams meet again on October 8 in Shanghai.
