ANTHONY Davis suffered a bruised knee but the New Orleans Pelicans went on to stretch their win streak to three and send the Hawks to a third straight loss, 112-94, on Tuesday in Atlanta (Wednesday, Manila time).
Davis had a bruise above his right kneecap and left in the first quarter but Tim Frazier and Terrence Jones took charge and led the Pelicans to their fifth win in 15 outings.
Frazier had 21 points on 7 of 12 shooting, while Jones came off the bench to score 17 for the Pelicans, who earlier downed the Portland Trail Blazers and Charlotte Hornets.
Davis returned in the fourth quarter and finished with 13 points in 19 minutes of action.
Dennis Schroder and Kyle Korver scored 14 points each for the Hawks, who absorbed only their second home loss and fifth in 14 games this season.
Paul Millsap scored 10, which was matched by reserves Taurean Prince, Malcolm Delaney and Tim Hardaway Jr.
