Kevin Durant scored 18 points in the last seven minutes as the Thunder beat the San Antonio Spurs, 109-103, in Game 4 on Saturday in Oklahoma City to tie the NBA Western Conference Finals at two games apiece.
The NBA’s scoring champion had 36 points and Serge Ibaka had a career-high 26 to lead the Thunder as starting guard Russell Westbrook was held to just seven points.
The Thunder led by as many as 15 points but the Spurs closed in after an 18-5 exchange, and the home team needed the endgame surge from Durant to hold off the visitors.
Tim Duncan had 21 points and Kawhi Leonard scored 17 points and hauled down nine rebounds for San Antonio.
The Spurs won 20 straight games before losing Game 3 of the best-of-seven conference final.
