Isaiah Thomas scored 24 on 6 of 17 shooting, while Avery Bradley went 11 for 19 and also wound up with 24 points.
Al Horford had 21 points and was an assist short of a double-double as the Celtics moved ahead in the best-of-seven series.
Game Six is on Friday in Chicago.
Dwyane Wade came up huge for the Bulls with 26 points on 7 of 18 shooting and had 11 rebounds and eight assists in 35 minutes of action.
Jimmy Butler went 6 for 15 and wound up with 14 points, which was matched by Robin Lopez by making 6 of 7 field goal attempts.
