    Jr. NBA Philippines third regional selection camp set in Benguet

    JR NBA Philippines 2018 goes to Benguet for its third Regional Selection Camp of the year.

    Players 10 to 14 years old are invited to attend the camp on March 17 and 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m at the Benguet State University in La Trinidad.

    Boys and girls born 2004 to 2008 are encouraged to participate in the league’s global youth basketball participation program to learn fundamental basketball skills and the Jr. NBA S.T.A.R values of Sportsmanship, Teamwork, positive Attitude and Respect. Registration is free.

    Managing the Regional Selection Camp will be Jr. NBA Coaches Carlos Barroca and Rob Newson together with Jr. NBA coaches from presenting partner Alaska led by former PBA players Jeffrey Carriaso and Tony de la Cruz.


      Athletes who pass the vitals tests and skills challenges on the first day advanced to the second day’s drills and scrimmages. The camp’s top performers will represent Northern Luzon in the National Training Camp in Manila from May 18 to 20.

      The Metro Manila regional camp is set April 7 and 8 at the Don Bosco Technical Institute in Makati.

      The Jr. NBA National Training Camp will select the most outstanding eight boys and eight girls as Jr. NBA All-Stars from the Regional Selection Camps. The Jr. NBA Philippines 2018 All-Stars will embark on a unique, overseas NBA experience with fellow Jr. NBA All-Stars from Southeast Asia later in the year.
