LOS ANGELES - When the Los Angeles Lakers held their 2018 Media Day at the team's practice facility in El Segundo, California, LeBron James was naturally the show-stopper, what with his star power and championship pedigree.
But there were several other Lakers there as well, each getting their share of the limelight.
Among the players SPIN.ph was able to talk to was Lance Stephenson, who after finding out that we were representing a Philippines-based website, immediately asked us whether the rumored rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will indeed push through this December.
Stephenson, a boxing fan, then whispered us this message: "Please tell Manny to knock out Mayweather."
The knockout part might be hard to do but the message will be sent to the fighting senator.
Stephenson is now running alongside LeBron, a former nemesis during Stephenson's six seasons with the Indiana Pacers.
Per basketballrefernce.com Stephenson has appeared in 440 regular season games averaging 8.8 points. 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
