Stephen Curry makes SI cover for the third time in two months, but Jordan Spieth makes major headline

League MVP Stephen Curry says “This feels like the start of something.”

STEPHEN CURRY has made it to the cover of Sports Illustrated for the third time since May.

The magazine came up with a teaser for Golden State Warriors fans, with league MVP Curry saying “This feels like the start of something.”

The Warriors have been in celebration mode since claiming their first title in the NBA in four decades and giving Oakland its first major sports title since the Athletics won the World Series in 1989.

But Jordan Spieth has actually taken the spotlight, with the young shotmaker up next for SI after ruling the US Open at tricky Chambers Bay.

It was the second straight gold major for the 21-year-old Spieth, who claimed a green jacket by ruling the Masters earlier this year.

Now that fueled talk of a season grand slam with the Open Championship set in July at the Old Course at St. Andrews and the PGA Championship in August at Whistling Straits.
