STEPH Curry told Filipino fans he hopes to have more championships tucked under his belt the next time he visits Manila.
Back in 2015 when he first came to the Philippines, Curry was fresh from winning his first title with the Warriors. Now he already has three rings after two MVP awards when he arrived for the Under Armour Asia Tour 2018.
In his closing message to spectators in attendance at the Mall of Asia Arena, Curry thanked his Filipino and Southeast Asian fans for their support, expressing his intention to return to Manila in the future.
He sure hopes to have more titles by then.
“I just want to thank everybody here in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia for supporting my family and my team. Thank you so much. I hope to come back with a couple of championships maybe. Thank you very much. Go Warriors. Keep pushing,” said Curry.
Curry will make another appearance on Saturday in the opening rites of UAAP Season 81 at the Mall of Asia Arena before flying in to Wuhan, China for the next stop of the tour. Curry will also fly to Tokyo before returning to the US.
Curry gamely entertained the fans in attendance, even accepting an In My Feelings challenge to the delight of the crowd.
