    Wizards end two-game slide with squeaker over Warriors as Kevin Durant suffers knee injury

    THE Wizards survived a sluggish third quarter and pulled off a 112-108 win over a Golden State Warriors side that lost Kevin Durant to injury early on Tuesday in Washington (Wednesday, Manila time).

    Otto Porter made his two free throws off a Stephen Curry foul to put the Wizards ahead, 110-108, and Markieff Morris made his shots from the stripe off a Draymond Green foul fir the final count.

    The Wizards had a strong start, leading by 19 in the first quarter after Durant suffered a hyperextended knee and was pulled two minutes into the game.

    The Warriors, however, overpowered the Wizards in the third, 36-24, setting up a tight endgame.

    Bradley Beal had 25 points on 8 of 17 shooting, while Morris finished with 22 points, also making 8 of 17 field goal attempts.

    Bojan Bogdanovic came off the bench to deliver 16 points, while Porter finished with 14 markers as the Wizards notched their 35th win in 58 games.

    The Warriors saw their win streak end at four, absorbing their 10th loss in 60 games.

    Steph Curry scored 25, making 9 of 20 shots, while Klay Thompson went 5 for 20 and finished with 16 points.
