    Eight straight for Warriors as NBA leaders withstand tough challenge from Rockets

    THE Golden State Warriors have made it eight straight victories, edging the Rockets, 113-106, on Tuesday in Houston (Wednesday, Manila time).

    Golden State backup forward James McAdoo needed stitches and will be evaluated for a concussion after suffering lacerations to his head in the first half

    McAdoo bumped into Trevor Ariza and hit the floor before the Houston guard also fell, landing on the Warriors forward.

    Steph Curry scored 32 on 11 of 22 shooting and also had 10 rebounds, while Klay Thompson went 10 for 20 and wound up with 25 points.

    Draymond Green had 19 points and was a rebound shy of a double-double, while Andre Iguodala came off the bench to score 12.

    McAdoo had one assist in four minutes of action for Golden State, which improved its record to an NBA-best 60-14.

    The Rockets saw their win streak end at four.

    James Harden came up with a triple-double of 24 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds.

    Clint Capela had 21 points on 9 of 10 shooting.

    Lou Williams came off the bench to score 17 for Houston, which suffered its 23rd loss in 74 outings.
