THE Brooklyn Nets are adding Jamal Crawford as the NBA moves closer to the season restart in Orlando, according to reports.
Facing roster woes with Wilson Chandler, DeAndre Jordan, Taurean Prince and Spencer Dinwiddie out for the season resumption in Disney, the Nets are signing the 40-year-old Crawford for the remainder of the seasonand are nearing a deal with Michael Beasley.
The 22 teams in the restart play eight games each before the playoffs begin.
Brooklyn is running seventh in the Eastern Conference, just a half game ahead of the Orlando Magic.
Justin Anderson was signed by the Nets last week after Chandler decided no to join the trip, citing the the health and well-being of his family.
The Athletic’s Sham Charania first reported the Nets deals with Crawford and Beasley.
Crawford last played for the Phoenix Suns, while Beasley last saw action for the Los Angeles Lakers. A. Quinto
