Short-handed Clippers get second straight win in Philly

Dec 10, 2013

LIFTING an ailing Clippers squad, Blake Griffin scored 26 points and Chris Paul finished with 25 points and 13 assists, to lead Los Angeles past the Philadelphia 76ers 94-83 Monday night (Tuesday, Manila time).

DeAndre Jordan added 11 points and a season-high 21 rebounds while Jared Dudley chipped in 10 points for the Clippers, winners of second straight.

On the injury list for the Clippers are guards J.J. Redick (injuries to right hand and wrist), Reggie Bullock (sprained left ankle) and Maalik Wayns (left knee). Forward Matt Barnes is sidelined with a torn retina in his left eye. The slew of injuries prompted the Clippers to talk to free agent forward Stephen Jackson who they are close to signing.

The Sixers were also plagued by the injury bug, with rookie point guard Michael Carter-Williams for the third consecutive game due to a skin infection in his right knee.
