SORRY, but Kevin Love isn't answering questions about his status with the Minnesota Timberwolves, trade rumors, or his impending free agency in his Manila visit.
The NBA star declined to answer questions about his status with the Timberwolves during Friday’s press conference at the Boystown Marikina as part of his visit for the Master Game Face All-Star Challenge set to be played on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Love has been at the center of speculations since he can opt out of his contract with the Tmberwolves and become an unrestricted free agent after next year.
The Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets are reportedly interested in obtaining the services of the former UCLA standout through trades. There is also a growing clamor to bring him to Boston and revive the fortunes of the Celtics.
But talk about his next move is apparently taboo in this visit, with the host of the Love press conference subtly cutting off a reporter who dared ask a question about it.
According to numerous reports, the Warriors are willing to trade Klay Thompson, one half of Golden State’s ‘Splash Brothers’ tandem with star Steph Curry, for Love, a former member of the US team.
The Nuggets, according to reports, are also willing to part ways with Kenneth Faried, Wilson Chandler, and their 11th pick in this year’s rookie draft for Love and Kevin Martin.
Timberwolves president of basketball operations and part owner Flip Saunders recently named himself as head coach of the team while bringing in Sam Mitchell as his assistant.
