SASHA Kaun has toured Cleveland and reportedly went house hunting, according to sources, although a deal hasn’t been reached with the Cavaliers.
A player on the Russian national basketball team handled in 2012 by now Cavaliers coach David Blatt, Kaun went around Cleveland on Monday (Tuesday, Manila time), according to cleveland.com.
The 30-year-old 7-footer, who has played for CSKA Moscow in the European League, could further boost the Cavaliers battery of centers that now has compatriot Timofey Mozgov and Anderson Varejao.
A key player on that frontcourt is 6-foot-9 forward Tristan Thompson, a restricted free agent who has yet to sign a new deal with Cleveland.
Kaun was a member of the 2008 NCAA champion University of Kansas squad and was drafted that year by the Seattle SuperSonics, who traded his rights to the Cavaliers.
