SKAL Labissiere dropped a career-high 32 points and helped spark a late surge for the Sacramento Kings to put away the Phoenix Suns, 107-101, at the Talking Stick Resort Arena on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time).
The Sacramento rookie scored 21 of his career-best output in the fourth quarter and teamed up with Willie Cauley-Stein for an 11-3 run in the final three minutes to finish off a pesky Phoenix side.
The Kings trailed by as much as 10 in the first half and faced a three-point deficit into the fourth period before taking the lead with an 11-4 start in the last quarter. But the Suns countered with a 14-8 counter to tie the game at 93 with 3:32 to play, before Labissiere and Cauley-Stein took over for the Kings.
Labissiere added 11 rebounds and two steals to his tally, while Cauley-Stein also had a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards for the Kings, who have won two straight to improve to 27-41.
TJ Warren led the Suns, losers of two in a row to fall to 22-46, with 24 points. Devin Booker and Marquese Chriss added 19 and 17 markers, respectively.
