    Kings claw back from 18 points down to edge Pistons and snap three-game slide

    DEMARCUS Cousins led a furious endgame rally to erase a nine-point fourth quarter deficit and take down the Detroit Pistons, 100-94, on Tuesday (Wednesday, Manila time).

    Sacramento outscored Detroit 32-17 in the fourth quarter and capped the comeback with 11-2 run, holding the Pistons scoreless in the last 1:15 minutes, after entering the final period trailing 77-68.

    With Detroit up 92-89 at the three-minute mark, Cousins started the rally with his first of two triples in the final minutes of the match, and sank a back-breaking trey that put Sacramento up by four, 98-94, after Reggie Jackson scored Detroit’s last basket of the game with over a minute to play.

    Cousins had 24 points, 13 rebounds and six assists to help Sacramento (16-22) snap a three-game losing slump. Anthony Tolliver chipped in 17 markers, while Kosta Koufos was instrumental in the comeback after scoring 10 of his 12 points in the fourth period.

    Kentavious Caldwell-Pope finished with 21 points, including six triples, to lead Detroit (18-22). Reggie Jackson added 19 markers, and Tobias Harris scored 18. Andre Drummond was held down to nine points but had 12 rebounds and seven blocks.

    Detroit led for most of the game, starting the onslaught late in the first quarter and even built a 70-52 lead in the third quarter.
