RUSSELL Westbrook exploded for 57 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder came back from a 21-point deficit to defeat the Magic in a thrilling 114-106 overtime win on Wednesday in Orlando (Thursday, Manila time).
The All-Star guard recorded his 38th triple double this season, adding 13 rebounds and 11 assists, just three shy of the record set by Oscar Robertson in the 1961-62 season.
Orlando led by 12, 93-79 at the 6:18 mark of the fourth quarter, a period when Westbrook scored 19 consecutive points to force overtime against the home team.
Westbrook scored the first two points in the extra period which he followed up with an assist to Victor Oladipo foa three-pointer to give the Thunder a five-point lead, an advantage they never relinquished. Westbrook would score 7 of OKC’s 12 points in overtime.
Enes Kanter added 17 points and 10 rebounds for OKC while Oladipo tallied 13 points
Evan Fournier had 24 points for Orlando which lost its second in a row. Terrence Ross finished with 23 markers.
