HOUSTON Rockets general manager Daryl Morey is excited with the team's gameplan for the NBA restart.
Coach Mike D’Antoni has made adjustments that Morey believes will give the Rockets a boost in the playoff race.
“At the end of the day, it’s about getting to an efficient, great offense,” Morey said in a report by USA Today.
“We’re already the second-best offense, but we can make that better, I think. We can easily be first throughout the playoffs.”
The Rockets face the titleholder Toronto Raptors in their first scrimmage on July 24 before meeting the Memphis Grizzlies on July 26 and the Boston Celtics on July 28.
The NBA seeding games start on July 30 with the Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans facing off before the game between top Western Conference teams Los Angeles Lakers and LA Clippers.
The Rockets’ first see action in the seeding games on July 31 against the Dallas Mavericks.
Houston is running sixth in the Western Conference. The Lakers lead the Clippers followed by the Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder.
