THE Sixers overcame a slow start and ripped the Dallas Mavericks, 116-74, on Friday in Philadelphia (Saturday, Manila time).

Robert Covington showed the way as the Sixers limited the Mavericks overpowered the Mavericks, 30-17, in the second period after trailing by two after one quarter.

The Sixers went on to limit the Mavericks to 16 points in the third and 18 in the fourth, bouncingback from a loss to the Golden State Warriors.

It was only the second win in the last seven games for Philadelphia.
