Former NBA player sentenced to probation after pleading guilty in Apple Store shoplifting case

FORMER NBA player Rex Chapman has agreed to probation, pay back an Apple Store in Arizona and do community service after pleading guilty to four counts of theft, according to the Lexington Herald Leader.

Chapman, a former Kentucky star who played for four NBA teams, was said to have stolen the merchandise from an Apple store in Scottsdale and sold the items at a pawn shop.

He was believed to have stolen items at the store on seven occasions before being arrested last year.

The former player for Charlotte, Washington, Miami and Phoenix in the NBA, Chapman will learn the length of his probation in a hearing on Sept. 25.

He has agreed to pay half of the over US15,000 on that day and half during his probation.
