REGGIE Jackson rediscovered his shooting touch and the Pistons beat the Mavericks, 98-91, spoiling a huge game by Dirk Nowitzki on Wednesday in Michigan (Thursday, Manila time).
The Pistons started strong, creating enough distance to survive a sluggish second half and bounce back from a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Jackson scored 22 points after struggling to hit double-digits in the past 10 games, while Jon Leuer added 20 as Detroit notched its 27th win in 57 games.
The Mavericks absorbed their second straight loss even as Dirk Nowitzki came up with a game-high 24 points.
Harrison Barnes came up with 16 points for Dallas, which outscored the Pistons 56-36 in the second half although it was not enough to prevent them from absorbing their 34th loss in 56 outings.
