THE Texas Legend used a huge fourth-quarter run to take control and held off the Austin Spurs, 108-107, on Saturday at Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco (Sunday, Manila time) to end a four-game skid in the NBA D-League.
The Legends fought back from six points down in the fourth, Patrick Miller making the game-tying layup and Steven Pledger giving the home team its first taste of the lead since the first quarter, hitting a triple that made it 92-89 with five minutes to play.
Jamil Wilson led the Legends with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Miller finished with a season-high 23 points off the bench.
Tu Holloway scored 22 points and had 6 assists as the Legends, second in the Southwest, improved their win-loss record to 16-14.
Fil-Am ray Parks scored four points on 2 of 5 shooting and had two rebounds in 13 minutes of action as Texas recovered from a huge 56-point loss to Raptors 905 the night before.
Keifer Sykes scored 28 points and Cady Lalanne had 22 for Austin, which suffered its 10th loss in 29 games.
