GILAS cadet Ray Parks thanked his supporters through social media, showing his appreciation as his fans in the Philippines stayed up late — or got up really early — to check out updates from Las Vegas where he made his debut with the Dallas Mavericks in the Summer League.

The two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player had a quiet start to his campaign, seeing action for just a little over three minutes as the Mavericks played the New Orleans Pelicans.

“Salamat sa lahat ng sumuporta sakin, lalo na madaling araw sa pinas,” Parks tweeted.

He gave hint how he felt about the performance with the hashtags #GanonTalagaEh #ParaSaBayan.

Dallas sent Kevin Pangos, Jordan Crawford, Justin Anderson, Dwight Powell and Jeremy Tyler to start against Southwest Division rival New Orleans.

Parks was sent in the second quarter but got little action and was pulled after a little over three minutes.
