ELIOTT Williams came up with a fine shooting display as the Santa Cruz Warriors downed the Texas Legends, 115-106, in the NBA D-League on Friday at Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco, Texas (Saturday, Manila time).
The Warriors used a 12-2 run at the start of the fourth to take control and cruise to victory.
Williams went 10 for 18, including 4 of 8 from beyond the arc to score 36 points for the Warriors, who improved their record to 6-4.
Darington Hobson had 24 points and Verdell Jones had 23 for the Warriors, who also improved to 2-1 against the Legends this season.
Justin Anderson of the Dallas Mavericks was back in action for the Legends and came up with 34 points and four others also had double-digit scores, but that was not enough to prevent Texas from absorbing its fourth loss in nine games.
Jeremy Evans, also on assignment to the D-League from the Mavs, had 13 points, while Toure Murry and Tu Holloway had 15 each.
Fil-Am guard Ray Parks was inactive for the sixth straight game.
