JULIUS Randle dropped a new career-high 36 points and Isaiah Thomas got sweet vengeance on a team that wanted nothing to do with him as they teamed up with Brook Lopez in a pivotal third quarter blitz that led to the Los Angeles Lakers' 127-113 romp over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday (Monday, Manila time).
With the game tied at 76 near the end of the third, Thomas sparked a 22-3 run and the Lakers never looked back as the Cavs rested LeBron James and the rest of the starters midway through the fourth with the game out of reach.
Randle added 14 rebounds and seven assists to his career game, while Lopez and Thomas scored 22 and 20 markers, respectively, as the Lakers improved to 30-36 and keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
James had 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Cavs (38-28). Former Laker Larry Nance Jr. added 16 markers.
