THE San Antonio Spurs wasted little time replenishing their wing rotation in the retirement of Manu Ginobili.
The Spurs have acquired free-agent wingman Quincy Pondexter, who is said to be finally fit recurring knee injuries and a skin infection.
Chris Haynes of ESPN reported the news on Tuesday on the same day Ginobili announced his retirement after 16 years with the Spurs and 23 years as a pro.
The 30-year-old Pondexter, who last played for Chicago last season, is set to sign a one-year deal and will join a rotation that features DeMar Derozan, Marco Belinelli, Bryn Forbes, Derrick White, and top rookie pick Lonnie Walker IV.
