OMAHA, Nebraska — Dwight Howard had 16 points and 15 rebounds in a strong finish to his first preseason with Atlanta, who comfortably beat Chicago, 97-81, on Thursday (Friday, Manila time) at CenturyLink Center Omaha.
Both teams closed out the preseason featuring their starters, who all played at least 25 minutes. But the Hawks took the lead from the get-go before pulling away in fourth quarter
Kyle Korver also scored 16 points as Atlanta finished 5-2.
Jimmy Butler scored 16 points as Chicago wrapped up exhibition play at 3-4. Doug McDermott also had 16 off the bench, while Dwyane Wade struggled with his shot to finish with eight points on 3-of-14 from the field.
