THE Sixers are looking to get a roster boost reportedly by trying to move up to the top five in the NBA draft, or lure Kawhi Leonard to Philadelphia.
The Sixers hold the No. 10 and five other picks in the draft set on Thursday (Friday, Manila time).
Leonard reportedly wants out of San Antonio, while philly.com cited sources saying the Sixers are interested in the Spurs forward.
David Griffin, former Cleveland Cavaliers general manager, said on Sirius XM NBA Radio that Philadelphia is “very much looking to move up to get somebody they think will go in the top five.”
DeAndre Ayton is expected to be made the No. 1 pick by the Phoenix Suns.
It is uncertain which player Philadelphia is eyeing, but ahead of them in the order are the Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic, Chicago Bulls, Cavaliers and the New York Knicks.
