GOLDEN State forward Draymond Green mocked Paul Pierce during the Warriors' 123-113 romp over the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.
The soon-to-retire 19-year veteran wasn’t about to let it pass.
Green had some choice words in an attempt to mock Pierce’s farewell tour when they faced each other on Thursday (Friday, Manila time).
Early in the game and with the Clippers leading 1-0, the outspoken Green tried to get under Pierce’s skin by shouting, “Chasing that farewell tour. They don’t love you like that.”
To add insult to injury, Green referenced Kobe Bryant - a Pierce rival during his time with the Los Angeles Lakers - and the Lakers great's own farewell tour: “You thought you was Kobe.”
Hours after the game, Pierce turned to Twitter for his response, digging into the Warriors' infamous meltdown in the 2016 NBA Finals against Cleveland that ruined a record 73-win season.
73 wins and u thought u was gonna win a title that yr ????????????3-1 lead oops

Well, Pierce at least had the final word.
