    Paul George sparks huge third-quarter surge as Pacers rip Pistons

    PAUL George came up big in the third quarter to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 115-98 rout over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night (Thursday, Manila time).

    George scored 13 of his 21 points in the third period as Indiana swept their four games against their division rivals to move two games in front of the Pistons in the race to the playoffs.

    The Pacers managed to keep Detroit in check most of the first two quarters and led 58-50 at halftime.

    In the third quarter, Detroit rallied and led, 63-62, on a jumper by Marcus Morris at the 7:37 mark. The Pacers responded with a 3-pointer from C.J. Miles. George then scored eight points in a 25-8 run that gave Indiana a 90-73 lead.

    Thaddeus Young had 18 points for Indiana, C.J. Miles added 15 and Jeff Teague came up with 10 points and six assists.

    Tobias Harris had 22 points and Stanley Johnson had a season-high 17 for the Pistons. Andre Drummond had 14 points and 15 rebounds while Jon Leuer finished with 15 points.
