Paul George scored 33 points and was a rebound short of a double-double as the Pacers notched their 25th win in 47 outings.
Myles Turner scored 18 on 6 of 13 shooting, while Jeff Teague went 5 for 10 and wound up with17 points.
The Rockets could not get a win run going after defeating the Philadelphia 76ers.
Ryan Anderson came up with 27 points on 9 of 16 shooting for the Rockets, who absorbed their 16th loss in 51 games.
James Harden had a measly 15 points, making three of 17 field goal attempts including two of 10 shots from beyond the arc.
The Rockets won twice in the five-game road trip and have lost six of the last 10 games.
