Pacers take charge early and cruise to victory over Magic

THE Indiana Pacers took control early and never looked back, cruising to a 117-104 victory over the Orlando Magic on Sunday in Indianapolis (Monday, Manila time).

Myles Turner showed the way for the Pacers, who outplayed the Magic 27-17 and was never threatened on the way to their second straight win.

Turner had 23 points and 12 rebounds as the Pacers notched their 17th win in 35 games.

Paul George scored 19 on 5 of 13 shooting, while Aaron Brooks came off the bench to score 14.

The Magic absorbed their second straight loss and 20th in 35 outings.

Nikola Vucevic came off the bench to lead the Magic with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Serge Ibaka had 17 points on 8 of 17 shooting, while Jeff Green matched the output by making 7 of 12 field goal attempts.
